Privacy Policy
Gigi Mail · last updated 28 October 2026
Gigi Mail is a personal, single-user application. It runs locally on the computer of its only user, LIU YINGJIE, and connects to that same user's own Google account. This policy explains what it touches and where that data goes.
1. Whose data
One person's: the application owner's. There is no sign-up, no other users, and no way for a third party to connect an account to it.
2. What is accessed
- Gmail — message headers and bodies, labels, and the account's own filter settings, used to sort mail and produce a daily summary.
- Google Calendar, Drive, Contacts, Docs, Sheets — read only, and only to include the owner's own schedule and documents in that same summary.
3. Where data goes
- Data stays on the owner's computer. Summaries are stored as local files.
- The only outbound connections are to Google's own APIs
(
googleapis.com) and, for the second mail account, to its own mail provider. - Nothing is transmitted to the developer of any third-party service, sold, rented, or shared.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no cookies on this site.
4. What is never done
- Messages are never deleted. Sorting is limited to labels and inbox placement.
- No mail is sent to anyone except the owner's own address.
- No Google user data is used to train models or build profiles.
5. Retention and deletion
Local summaries can be deleted at any time by the owner. Access can be revoked at any moment at myaccount.google.com/permissions; revocation stops all further access immediately.
6. Security
OAuth 2.0 credentials are stored in a local file readable only by the owner's Windows account. Credentials are refreshed automatically and can be revoked as described above.
7. Changes and contact
Any change to this policy will be published on this page with a new date.
